Shaping our future

The services and knowledge-work sectors (hereinafter referred to as the services sectors) now accounts for over 70% of global economies including Ireland's and a number of leading service organisations have expressed a desire to establish an industry network that caters for the unique challenges of the service and knowledge work sectors.

The title for this forum is “The Service Excellence Network”, given the number of service organisations based here in Ireland. The philosophy and leadership of our participating members is of paramount importance to the success of the network. You and your organisation can make an important and significant contribution and gain tremendous benefit from your participation. The network needs your leadership and insights to help us to promote excellence and innovation in services and to drive this network forward.

Service organisations have many challenges and solutions to share. We know that there are many fine examples of better/best practices across the sectors and by collaborating across the network, many of these practices and insights can be shared to help each other. Many individuals have identified partial solutions for their organisation and collaborating with colleagues may provide the opportunity to complete those solutions.

Mission

To promote and develop business excellence through  knowledge-sharing forums,  benchmarking, training and development. To establish an effective, interesting, and resource-filled platform for individuals in the services sector. To promote best practice global methodologies, research, and focused networking. To help our members access and share solutions to organisational challenges. To improve organisational capabilities and achieve sustained business success.

Aim

The Service Excellence Network wish to help solve the problems of delivering excellence in performance for Service & Knowledge-Work Organisations. We aim to maximise our members’ success, while contributing towards Ireland’s growth, and competitiveness. The purpose of the Network is to create a knowledge sharing platform that encourages the ‘best to become better.’ We want to empower your people, processes and your technology through advanced training and learning programmes.

Objective

The network will address the challenges of improving the effective and efficient performance of service sector organisations, particularly in Ireland. Like-minded organisations collectively identify and share best practices either at home or internationally and through a series of knowledge sharing programmes, events, and site visits. We will work with our members on problem-solving and promote Irish business excellence on a global platform.
